Or do these frameworks load ONLY when needed from a program?
I now I am talking about details here, but I am thinking of old systems, and whether I should install the frameworks on them....
thanks!

I have both 1.1 and 2.0 running XP Pro x64 and I have not seen any decrease in performance at all. -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta

It should work perfectly fine - see if any applications on your system are utilising the 2.0 Framework that might be slowing it down.

Are there any error messages when you try open 32 bit Internet Explorer? The Macromedia 8 Player you downloaded is defaulted for use under 32-bit Internet Explorer, its not developed to work with 64-bit IE. Have you tried emptying your internet cache and temporary files to see if it fixes the problem? -- -- Andre Windows Connected | http://www.windowsconnected.com Extended64 | http://www.extended64.com Blog | http://www.extended64.com/blogs/andre http://spaces.msn.com/members/adacosta
